Oxford English Dictionary (sau OED, pe scurt) este principalul dicţionar clasic al limbii engleze, un adevărat monument lingvistic.
În 2019 se împlinesc 135 de ani de la apariția OED. Pe măsură ce limba engleză a continuat să evolueze, şi dicţionarul s-a dezvoltat în permanenţă. Lunga sa istorie este plină de lucruri interesante, unele chiar surprinzătoare.
