A lawyer was walking down the street and saw an auto accident. He rushed over, started handing out business cards, and said, „I saw the whole thing. I’ll take either side.”

A lawyer says to a witness on the stand: „Now, sir, did you, or did you not, on the date in question or at any time, say to the defendant or anyone else that the statement imputed to you and denied by the plaintiff was a matter of moment or otherwise? Yes or no.”

The witness looked at the lawyer and said, „Yes or no, what?”

A small, uncertain, and nervous witness was being cross-examined. The lawyer thundered, „Have you ever been married?”
„Yes, sir, once,” said the witness in a low voice.

„Whom did you marry?”

„Well, a woman.”

The lawyer said angrily, „Of course you married a woman! Did you ever hear of anyone marrying a man?”

And the witness said meekly, „My sister did.”
