Pâraiele-nstelate în amiezi Sticlind ca bolta în al nopții miez. |
| No time to turn at Beauty’s glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. |
Să prinzi ocheada Mândrei nu ai când, Nici să-i privești picioarele dansând; |
| No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began. |
S-aștepți până îmbogățește gura-i Surâsul ce-l stârni căutătura-i. |
