While traveling in the UK, John was looking forward to staying in one of the oldest hotels in England, one in Salisbury that dated back to the 13th century.
But when he arrived, the hotel clerk gave him a bit of bad news informing him at check-in that his room was in the new section.
Being a history buff, John was disappointed, but when he asked when the „new” section had been built, she replied apologetically, „In the 1600s.”
