a (se) oglindi
Verbul a (se) oglindi vine din limba slavă – oglendati, având atât o dimensiune tranzitivă, cât și reflexivă. Cea mai des utilizată explicație este „a (se) proiecta pe o suprafață lucioasă sau într-o oglindă”, fiind sinonim cu a (se) răsfrânge, a (se) reflecta. O serie sinonimică ce m-a surprins este alcătuită din a analiza, a cerceta, a examina, a măsura, a observa, a scruta, a studia, a urmări.
Valoarea reflexivă se folosește și despre oameni (deși apare destul de rar și, de obicei, cu oarecare intenție stilistică) – „a se privi în oglindă, a se admira privindu-se în oglindă” , sau cu sens figurat, despre stări, fenomene, acțiuni etc. – „a apărea ca un reflex al anumitor împrejurări, a fi înfățișate de ceva, a-și găsi expresia sau ecoul”.
